Books I am reading and recommend

When Naomi’s sisters are snatched up to be taken to be wives of the erratic Pharaoh, Akhenaten, she knows they won’t survive the palace, so she offers herself in their place. The fearsome Commander Horemheb sees her courage, and knows she is exactly what he is looking for…

The Great Queen Nefertiti despises Naomi instantly, and strips her of her Hebrew lineage, including her name, which is changed to Kiya. Kiya allies herself with Horemheb, who pushes her to greatness and encourages her to make the Pharaoh fall in love with her. When Akhenaten declares Kiya will be the mother of his heir, Nefertiti, furious with jealousy, schemes to destroy Kiya.

Kiya must play the deadly game carefully. She is in a silent battle of wills, and a struggle for who will one day inherit the crown. If she does bear an heir, she knows she will need to fight to protect him, as well as herself, from Nefertiti who is out for blood.

Fellow Aussie YouTubers

Hi again...It is Friday and I just had a quick look at my YouTube and I had a message in there from a fellow Aussie just introducing herself, so I subscribed to her channel.
I think we should all get behind each other girls and give our American sisters a run for their money on YouTube.

Got Excited About Storage Cubes

After my last post about my amazing 10 junk drawers.  I decided to go on a rampage to downsize and get rid of some of my crap.  I started off with some very large stand up garbage bags, and I was ruthless (the dog is still shaking...but that is a story for another time).
I am trying, I really am, but these people I call family are trying to break my spirit.  I don't think they leave their stuff around on purpose, I think it is more a case of leaving a trail of crap so I can find them in a house with 7 members.
Anyway I went on a shopping trip to purchase some nice storage containers. I was so excited when I found a pack of 2 collapsible storage containers with lids for only $8 in KMart.  I am sure these magical containers will turn my home into a haven of order and calm.  Last year I was collecting large plastic storage boxes, this year I have moved up to fabric and Chic....Wish me luck.

Great Idea

I go through wallets like baked dinners. , I am not fussy about what it looks like because I was in the shops looking for a new wallet, but couldn't find anything, so I went to the stationery department and purchased a $2 pencil case...what a great thrifty idea.
